Our Sweet Mom

Dad's home for lunch and brought with him some pictures that he took of Mom! Here she is at the hospital.
Dad says that she had to be started on a medicine (terbutaline) in order to stop her contractions. She's also still bleeding a tiny bit. The nurses have been very nice and caring.

August here with a medical report:

Martha is bleeding from her placenta previa. About 20% of her placenta has separated (abruption) from the uterine wall. There is a clot there, but probably not fully clotted yet. She is still trickling some blood, but much less than before. One of the doctors mentioned the possiblity of DIC (Dissseminated Intravascular Coagulation) which means that a cascade of clotting has used up some of her clotting factors and platelets. We hope and pray that this will stop. If she were to continue to use up her clotting factors and platelets, she may have difficulty with future clotting. Please pray that she stops bleeding soon!
